Hot take: Malls shouldn't have more than a few womens' clothing stores and the floor space should be more fairly divided between different types of stores.
Almost 99% of all the stores in any given mall are clothing stores, 75% of which are dedicated to womens' clothing. I don't mind women's clothing stores existing, but they choke out any diversity of product within the mall. Why do we need practically 300 womens' clothing stores to 310 total stores? Couldn't more floor space be dedicated to other things? You could have a bigger and more diverse food court, choice in electronics stores, music stores, an arcade, a different large department store, a dedicated toy store, and still have 900 trillion choices for womens' clothing. It's maddening how almost all the floor space in the mall is just womens' clothes.
