So here’s a throwback for #dailysong

This is a classic that I just love by a relatively unknown band/one-hit-wonder. They never had much success but this one was pretty damn good, imo. It’s a relatively simple song about a man who, for whatever reason, found his way in a bar and gets drunk. Judging by the chorus I suspect it’s meant to imply that the man had found fortune, but was taken advantage of by so-called friends and is now left alone to drink his problems away with random strangers. This also takes great advantage of binaural audio, which I’ve mentioned before is something I love. If you can, listen to this with headphones and take turns taking one out. Especially at the beginning, you’ll get a different sound depending on which you have in, which is something I love. Otherwise, there isn’t a lot for me to say here. It’s a pretty simple, yet emotionally relatable song. We’ve all felt alone at one point or another, so we all know what it’s like. And sometimes, you’re just stuck in the middle of some strangers. (Although, I’d very much hope you aren’t doing that now. Social distance, people!) Anyway, here’s “Stuck in the Middle (With You),” by Stealers Wheel.

“Clowns to the left of me. Jokers to the right. Here I am. Stuck in the middle with you.”
