Afton had a vision: he wanted to make memories for children the best way he could, making these animatronics. Afton wanted the children to be happy, he wanted his children to be happy. After ‘87 though...something happened to that man. Something screwed with his mind. Whether that be the loss of his son or some unknown reason is unsure to us now. Afton just snapped. And soon after....that’s when the body count started.
