It's late, and hardly anyone is here, so I am testing out stuff. If the messaging system seems broken or wonky, just ignore it for the moment.

This testing may effect site Notifications & Messaging, and should only last a few minutes from this post. (if you're reading this hours later, the tests may have since been completed).

This test aims to increase the speed of notifications & chat messages to near real-time. During this testing, the site may briefly dip into Maintenance Mode a couple times.

UPDATE: I'm noticing that the testing may be making it appear that no one is online. It may even be blocking notifications from coming in. Seems it needs a bit more work first. I'm in the current process of enabling/disabling the updates as I make tweaks. I'll be done with the tests soon.
