Hex values are stored as #RRGGBB or shorthand, #RGB, where 00 is OFF and FF is FULL ON where 0-9-A-F is the scale of dimmest to brightest. So with that knowledge, you can estimate what the color might be! Like Wilde Prints Orange. #D96D00. Or Red D9, Green 6D, Blue 00. From that, we know we're mixing a high level of red, a medium-ish level of green and no blue. Red and green make yellow when mixed in Light, so it'll be some orange shade with the red being the more dominant color!

It gets its name straight from what it is. lol 0-256 in hex os 00-FF :)
