This #dailysong is, like low-key perfect. The lyrics are simple and easy to remember since the song only has a single, repeated verse. The instrumentals are catchy and easily recognizable. Like, from the very first crash of the symbol, you know what song it is. Not to mention great use of binaural audio. Like, if you take off one headphone for the first verse you’re going to hear either the bass or the drums and then the two will fade into the other headphone until the whole thing crashes together into a united symphony. The division of the audio is especially neat due to the song’s story of a man afraid his girlfriend is cheating on him. There continues to be instances where the audio is only coming from one side, namely when the electro bits come in. I think this is meant to symbolize the negative thoughts encroaching the narrator’s mind, but I also may be looking too into it. Anyway, here is “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. (Note, this will also be the last one today. These take a hot minute to make up and I have to get to bed. More tomorrow, promise!)

“Jealousy, turning saints into the sea. Swimming through sick lullabies, choking on your alibis. But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me. Open up my eager eyes, 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside.”
