Why do heroes always fight impossible odds?
It's not because they know they can defeat them...
It's letting them know you won't go quietly into the night.
If everyone dies, but yet no one fights back, they are not remembered.
Even if one raises their fist against them, they will be remembered not just in the people's eyes. But the villain's as well.
