This ones about Greyscale's history. I'll remind ya, I'm not a great writer, and can't be held responsible for anything sounding poorly written. Let's begin, at the start. (I'll explain the specifics on how mutations work later. Social hierarchy and tails https://www.anthrodex.com/post..../5943_hello-my-furry )
Greyscale is a one-tail drakenix, born to a pair of three-tails. He was picked on through his younger years, and one of his parents hated him, but that's what happens when you're born of the lowest social class. He still did his best, and excelled at all his classes. Over the years, the other drakeni would pick on him less, not because they didn't hate him, but because he was agile. He was born with a mutation that made him more agile then the average drakenix, and he used it to make it clear he was to be respected. He skipped grades on a few occasions and was the youngest drakenix to ever graduate college. He designed technologies that earned him respect, and was able to extend his life into forever. By the time he was 50, it was possible to travel at 2 times light speed*. But he wanted more. He started to see if interdimensional travel could be done, but found something he'd later regret. While attempting to open a hole to another reality, he tried dozens of things. Upon finally punching a hole into the fabric of space, he found he hadn't punched hard enough. Readings on the land inside read as negatives. This would later come to be known as the Void, a barren wasteland between realties. The next test was a success, and thus travel between dimensions was possible by the time he was 58. By the time he was 82, it was common for drakeni to go on vacations to exotic alternate dimensions**. But the Void kept calling to him. He had to know. This was the downfall of his reality. He went back to the method that first opened the void, and started testing. After 17 years, the tests had gotten strange. He was starting to try and use the void to accomplish things that shouldn't be possible, but it came with a price. The testing required to make stable void tech had disabled his reality, causing him to flee. He checked back 2 years later, and found that the door just opened back into the void. His home was gone, and he was on a strange planet. His immortality proved to be true, and after a few centuries on the planet, he'd noticed life was evolving. A few millennia later, he started being sociable with the life, as it gained sentience. throughout time he was able to teach the creature he'd met how to language, and helped them build great structures. He was even worshipped as a god. Now he lives in his underground home, and he's content. He knows he can't die, but he's not so sure about the creatures above. They've started splitting atoms, while some guy tries to rule the world. He wonders what the outcome will be. He hopes these self proclaimed "smartest creatures" don't self terminate. He one day goes up, and some people mock him, assuming him to be wearing a costume, while others seem to think this could be a great way to bring people together. A few decades later and he sees them doing a slow recreation of his childhood. They go to space, and a few decades later, start trying to make it available to all. It'll be centuries before they can make his mistakes, but he's prepared to leave when they do. "Humans. They sure are funny creatures, aren't they," he muses to himself, content with his life.
