Oy, completed my first project in my professional jeweler course. (Metalsmith and jewlery repair technician) the project was to design and create a monogrammed pendent from a sheet of brass. The pendent had to be about the size of a quarter and feature the first letter of your last name emboldened in the center while also maintaining an appealing visual weight symmetry useing positive and negative imaging. My initials have a lot of curves to them so I wanted to get creative in the style in which they are presented. Not too bad for a first start, I did learn a lot from this project and importantly how some tools work over others. Thankfully over the years I've collected quite a wide range of tools and resources at my disposal. This took me about 4 days to make, roughly 20 some such hours put in I believe. There is still a lot I wish I could have done to make this look more professional however.
