Update – AnthrOhio 2020 & COVID-19
To our Dear Friends,

While we’ve been working diligently to plan a safe and enjoyable weekend for our guests it has become ever increasingly obvious that the global pandemic we find ourselves in has other plans for us. Our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our attendees so it is with that we must announce that due public safety concerns around COVID-19 AnthrOhio 2020 will not be taking place in May of this year.

We know that many of you have already made their travel arrangements and scheduled your vacations around our event and we regret that this decision may cause issues for our attendees on that front. We do ask that anyone who has made reservation with the Crowne Plaza Columbus North using our group code ANT to please call the hotel at 614-885-1885, option 2 and cancel their room. Please manually cancel your room before April 15th to help make the process as simple as possible for everyone.

We hope that we can still put on some sort of event for our community and our attendees sometime this year, but we are still very early in discussions about whether that is possible. We can state that we will not hold any event which jeopardizes the safety of our community or any other community which our attendees may return to after the event, and if we have another event this year, we will also have all appropriate precautions to prevent spread of disease.

We appreciate all the support we’ve had over the years, and understand that for many people, economic circumstances are changing. If you need a refund of your registration, please contact us at [email protected] and we will process that with no questions. We will also have options to roll those funds forward to future events, with a token of appreciation, which we will have more details on shortly.

As I write this, we are only a few hours after having a meeting with our hotel to discuss this cancellation. Many details of this cancellation, which none of us have encountered before, will need to be worked out and will be in a staff meeting we are holding in a few days.
