Damnit, ok this one i consider a failure on my part but a very valuablelearningexperience. I wanted to experiment with this new UV resin since most of my works use ca glue, but that stuff can be very finicky if i want to do more detail oriented concepts, either drying too fast or not fast enough causing parts to shift or fall off entirely, ruining the ring. The ring core itself is a special black ceramic in an octagonal shape, kinda like a construction nut. I figured i could build the resin over the sharper bits and make this floating overlay look with the gears and sprockets. However i didn't account for it lifting in some parts as i tried to sand down and polish it into shape. This created white blotches and clouded segments completely destroying the visual effect. However i did learn the best ways to apply the resin and drying techniques plus a better understanding how this gooey shit works.
