Fun fact: The original ending of Spider-Man 3 would’ve had Peter pull Eddie’s body from the Venom symbiote after defeating it, however all that would be left would be Eddie’s skeleton showing that Venom was slowly eating Eddie’s body and becoming the host because Venom had nothing else to consume.
