Honest question here:

Why is it that so many people in the alphabet soup spectrum try so hard at looking as ugly and as physically disgusting as humanly possible? The clown-like makeup, hair in just about every color but their natural look, outlandishly dramatic clothes, etc; and then demand people call them beautiful when they are obviously and objectively not?

I really don't get it.

I don't interact with much of the online LGBT community(too many ignorant kids) but I assumed most exaggerated make-up and outfits were generally for shows/performance(much like wearing fursuits). And the folks wearing it year round are just a few stray oddballs. I've never been much into it myself but also never had people demanding I call anyone beautiful. But I interact with queer communities in person not online which is an entirely different environment in my experience.
