Everyone that knows metal knows the 4 big bands of first wave black metal: Venom, Bathory, Mercyful Fate and Hellhammer/Celtic Frost. Dig deeper, though, and you start finding real hidden gems like Sarcofago, Vulcano and Onslaught.
Buried beneath even that is a little known German band called Poison. Short lived and never releasing an official album, they did record 3 primary demos. Sons of Evil, which I posted about before, Bestial Death and Awakening of the Dead. These recording are as raw as raw gets, and all 3 got remastered from the original demo tapes and slapped on vinyl by a small label called FOAD records for limited release. Now I have all 3 of them. Killer stuff
