So..... I just wanted to say..... Beginning this monday, I will be going on a two week long backpacking trip in new mexico with my boy scout troop (google: Philmont Scout Reservation). Two weeks. 40 pounds of food, water, and gear on my back (restocking at every outpost along the planned route). up to 80 degrees (Farenheit) at day. Down to 45 degrees at night. Everyone I know who has been there says that it's the trip of a lifetime if you're a scout. I've been waiting for this day for many years (even longer than it should've been, since it got postponed due to COVID).
