That being said, other services I've used in the past do read DMs so it isn't particularly new. It's not something I'm a fan of either.

This alternate has since been suspended, but until it is removed, I want to say that DM scanning does fall in the Terms Of Use under bullet points #4 and #5. It does not necessarily mean the DMs are being looked at by an actual person, though this could also be the case where manual review is needed. This past suspension wave followed after the coded system found multiple counts of NSFW conversations between one or more members, which we're currently very strict about not allowing on the network with our 13+ age groups. Unfortunately, the bot did not care what age the profile was,.

The only way we'd discontinue this behavior would be if the network was switched to 18+.
