A very old necklace from a time long since past. I made this during my first years of jewelry making, it was one of the first gifts to my ex fiancé while we were still just dating, she was a kind of winged water wolf, due to her love of swimming and her yearning to be free from things that were troubling her just prior to our hooking up. It incorporates a pewter wolf mask, representing the cover she wore to hide herself, thats been soldiered to a pair of brass wings that had some light silver ecltroplating, these were her way if saying i had created for her a means to fly away from her troublesome family, the stones are blue Apatite, a stone that represents manifestation attuned to the future, something we always spoke about. Sterling silver, she loved silver, with aquamarine and ocean blue swarovski crystals accented with silver-glass teardrop beads to represent how her sadness faded amongst the waves as she indulged in her favorite form of escape. All strung with a special coated steel cable so she could wear it while swimming. A lot of thought went into this design, while jt may not be one of my finer pieces compared to today, at the time it was something she truly cherished and wore everyday till it broke after about 4 years. Ironically enough this is also roughly when we broke up with a rather sorrowful end, i had gotten quite a bit of memorable joy in making this for someone i truly loved, just as we both had made quite a bit of joyful memories together, before the bad took precedent, (looks back with a bit of melancholy) C'est la vie, i suppose.
